TWAS-CAS Fellowships for Visiting Scholars

Biology Scholarship Applicants for these Fellowships must meet the following criteria:

be a maximum age of 55 years on December 31, year of application;
become citizens of developing countries (other than China);
holds a PhD in natural sciences and regular research assignment with at least five years of postdoctoral research experience;
received at the CAS-registered institutions participating in the scheme and provide an official acceptance letter from host institution (see sample Acceptance Letter, page 3) to this effect, and
provide evidence of proficiency in English or Chinese.

Sending your application:

The Biology Scholarship deadline for receipt of applications is 31 August each year.
Applicants must submit a letter of acceptance from the institution to CAS and CAS Twas when applying or by the deadline at the latest. Without preliminary acceptance, the application will not be considered for selection. http://www.callforpapersinfo.com

Reference letters: Referees must send signed letters as attachments via e-mail directly to CAS Twas and subject line must contain: the name of the CAS / VS / candidates. Or, a letter should be sent by post in sealed envelopes.
